UX

During my passion project, I followed the design thinking process. Hence, why I devided the sprints in 5 stages of the design thinking process: empathize, define, ideate, prototype and test. I used a combination of different CMD methods for this project.

Empathize: I started the empathize stage with user research. I've chosen to do a target audience analysis and a competitive analysis. My target audience was hijabi women form 15 to 55 years old and I researched different factors like preferred materials, shapes, styles and techniques. To get a better idea of my target audience I conducted an online survey, there were 17 participants.

Define: During the define stage, I made a customer journey and a persona.

Ideate: This stage was to brainstorm about my idea and the design. I looked up the current trends for webshops and e-commerce. The trends of this moment are minimalistic designs, sustainability and usafe of gradients. Also, the idea of using virtual try-on, as AI and virtuality are also a big recent trend lately, were After analyzing the trends, I made a moodboard. I wanted my brand to represent quality and sustainability. Also, a feminine, soft energy.

Protoype: Below you can find the wireframes and the protoype of my webshop. After analyzing trends and competitors, I started with designing the wireframe and the prototype for my webshop. The results were that most of the webshops with a similar niche, were focussing on a minimalistic and sustainable image. So I tried to opt for a similar approach, but still keeping the brand image of Voileté in mind. I added a hero section for promos on the landing. This way customers could see the newest additions, sales and recommended items. Below this hero section, I added a grid slider to showcase new arrivals to encourage looking at the latest trends. I chose for a top navigation bar, because this is very common and useful way to navigate through a webshop. I wanted to not overcrowed the navigation bar for easy usability of the website. On the product pages I also made use of breadcrumbs, to enhance the navigation on the website. The filters on the product pages are designed according to the results of the user research and trends.
